Who We Are
The Baylor Ethics Initiative is a community of scholars and practitioners dedicated to critical and creative research about how Christian beliefs and practices relate—presently and potentially—to the broader cultural, social, economic, and political systems that we inhabit as local, national, and global citizens.
Programs and Projects
The Baylor Ethics Initiative is a research-driven community of scholars, and we are very interested in sharing our scholarship through our teaching. To that end, we have organized curricular opportunities for students to engage the same ethical questions and challenges that exercise us. At present, we offer an undergraduate Bioethics Certificate and we are busy creating additional opportunities that correspond to our other research groups.
Research Groups
Research Groups are the heart and organizational centers of the Baylor Ethics Initiative. Gathered around interdisciplinary fields of inquiry, scholars and practitioners in these groups work together to expand ethics-related research opportunities and infrastructure and to develop programming and curriculum that grows out of their research expertise.
