Vision: FSI high school retreat provides a unique experience within a diverse community utilizing a seven-day mentor-guided retreat setting, in which empirical research is conducted, and followed by a year of mentoring that engages and forms religious teenagers to become discerning, virtuous leaders in sports, church, and beyond.
Purpose: FSI high school program is designed to assist junior and senior high school youth to: 1) theologically reflect on and morally deliberate about the positive and negative influences within sport and other life experiences; 2) understand and experience how worship and liturgy in church, spiritual disciplines practiced in sport, and authentic community can work together to nurture integrity and spiritual leadership; and 3) examine how the convictions and character they are developing can translate to and equip them for service and their future callings in the “race of life.”
