Learn more about The National Ethics Bowl Competition.

From our Ethics Bowl Coach:

"Seeing students develop as researchers, thinkers, and public speakers is an absolute delight. Ethics Bowl requires attention to detail without losing a clear sight of the whole, making it the ideal training in the art of untangling empirical and moral knots, a vital skill for professional careers, political engagement, and problem solving in personal life. I have already been so impressed by our Baylor students, and can't wait to see how far they can go in the years ahead!" - Eric Anderson, PhD candidate in Philosophy

National Bioethics Bowl

The National Bioethics Bowl is an intercollegiate competition in which students from universities and colleges around the U.S. debate tough ethical issues in medicine, biotechnology, and healthcare. Students prepare for the event by studying a set of cases and crafting their own arguments for their positions on each case, which they present in debate rounds at the bowl.

From our Bioethics Bowl Head Coach:

"Coaching Ethics Bowl and Bioethics Bowl has been a highlight of my time at Baylor. These collegial competitions bring out the best in students, inviting them to argue well and charitably. Over the course of their time on the team, Bowlers grow in knowledge of ethical theory and cultivate habits like diligence, open-mindedness, and fortitude. It is a joy to coach Baylor students!" - Drew Craddock, PhD candidate in Theological Bioethics
