Associate Professor of Religion
Dr. Natalie Carnes trained at Harvard, University of Chicago, and Duke before arriving at Baylor, where she is Associate Professor of Theology and affiliated faculty in Women’s and Gender Studies. With research interests spanning systematic theology, theology and the arts, and feminist theology, she pursues questions about the tensions and entanglements of Christian theology—for example, its commitments to art and poverty, beauty and suffering, and tradition and liberation.
